How YOGA can help your daily life
Modern living has become more and more stressful. People are using alcohol, nicotine, medications and non prescription drugs to reduce stress and anxiety. A healthy body and mind through daily exercise is important but the pressures of earning a living, supporting a family or achieving at studies may under-mine even the best intentions to look after your own physical and mental well being. Yoga is the key through its holistic approach to life.

Integral Yoga (Purna Yoga -meaning integrated or complete) represents a holistic approach to yoga integrating not just the physical postures but also philosophy, meditation, pranayama (breath control) and the yogic personal and social code of ethics (Yamas and Niyamas).

Yoga is an ancient science and philosophy that originated in India. In the west we are more familiar with the physical and mental aspects of Yoga. These are the yoga postures (asanas), working deeply into tissues, muscles and body systems. Yoga postures are adaptable to suit any age or disability. There is also yoga breathing (pranayama) which can help develop the lungs and correct bad breathing patterns, reduce stress and enhance health. Also Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation) and meditation.
